Gunfire Games decided to hide something special in the files of Remnant II.
Fans of games and enthusiasts often spend time delving into the game files and trying to find hidden content there. Developers of one of the recent bestsellers, Remnant II, decided to use this passion and hide something special for players in the files for the game's fans to find.
In the game files, players quickly discovered references to the 11th class, but initially, the community thought that the developers were simply planning to add it in one of the updates.
However, Ben Cureton, Principal Designer on Remnant II, hinted that this class could be unlocked by "penetrating the game's code."
Taking this hint, data miners began examining the game files. They were able to learn that to unlock the class, players need to collect a specific list of items, which will then allow them to pass through a hidden door in one of the locations.
There is already a detailed guide available online on how to unlock the class:
Recently, players have also discovered a bug in the game that allows them to reset skill points for free by evading at the right moment. We're not sure whether this bug is intentional, so the dev team might fix it in the near future.
You can follow the Principal Designer on Twitter not to miss other hints. Previously, Gunfire Games revealed that Remnant II was designed "with upscaling in mind", noting that the lack of any upscaling tech may negatively affect the game's general performance. Learn more here.
