You can try and play it on older "unsupported" iPhones but it's rough.
Just over a month ago, we discussed how nice it is to play Resident Evil Village on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. When the game was tested on the new iPhone, the results were impressive. After playing Resident Evil Village for approximately 20 minutes, the device's temperature saw an increase of around 10°C, reaching temperatures between 34-39°C (93-102°F). The game's performance closely resembled that of the Nintendo Switch, with no noticeable performance issues. Remarkably, the game had a minimal impact on the device's battery, as it only decreased from 100% to 95% during the gameplay session.
Recently, some players have made an interesting discovery: Resident Evil Village is not limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max but can also be played on the earlier versions of Apple smartphones. Those who have tested the game on their iPhone 13 Pro Max have reported a seamless launch without any problems or slowdowns during the game's run. However, it is worth mentioning that playing the game on the iPhone tends to cause the device to heat up significantly and the battery to drain rapidly.

To play Resident Evil Village, a minimum of 4GB of RAM is required. However, some users have found an alternative method to launch the game on devices such as the iPhone XS and more powerful models. On the other hand, a test revealed that attempting to play Resident Evil Village on a 9th-generation iPad with only 3GB of RAM resulted in frequent crashes, indicating that after all the device's specifications do not meet the game's requirements.
