Respawn Entertainment Opened A New Studio in Vancouver

The Vancouver team will focus on the further development of the Apex Legends games.

Respawn Entertainment celebrates its 10th anniversary by opening a new studio in Vancouver. This is going to be the second location of the company, and its team will primarily work on the Apex Legends franchise which has received good acclaim after its release in February 2019.

The company has already built a strong team for the Vancouver studio and shared what the hiring process was like.

"We approached [hiring] a little bit differently than we would normally. Rather than list out the thing we want to get done and therefore what roles we need, we started off with: we know we want to build Apex, And Apex has a huge opportunity to evolve in the future, being a live service game. And so we started with who was passionate about making Apex, and we built a team around strong individuals as opposed to a project plan that you would conventionally start off a project around."
