Just a few days ago, we talked about Respawn and its unannounced single-player project that fans "have wanted for a long time." On February 16, industry insider Tom Henderson provided more details on the upcoming game.
According to Henderson's sources, Respawn is developing a first-person Star Wars Mandalorian game about a bounty hunter, which is in its early stages of development.
In the game, players will assume the role of a mysterious bounty hunter set in the era of the Galactic Empire. Your role as a hunter is to catch bounties and earn cash rewards.
The gameplay will focus on "very fast-paced" actions and "high mobility", with the bounty hunter using a jetpack for quick maneuverability. Various weapons and gadgets, such as a grapple hook, a visor for "tagging enemies", a wrist rocket, and more will be at the players' disposal.
Despite not being an open-world game, the title will offer linear levels on multiple planets. As for the release date, it's yet to be announced, with sources adding that we're probably one to two years away from it. It's also unclear whether the game will include a multiplayer mode, as earlier sources claimed it to be a single-player title.
