Titanfall fans have been eager to hear any news about their favorite franchise for years. A new job listing from Respawn Entertainment has filled them with new hope.
In the listing, spotted by eXputer, the company is looking for a game design director for its Incubation Team who has "significant professional experience designing multiplayer FPS experiences." The candidate needs to "empower a team of designers to create a great game," so there seems to be a new title in development.
Other requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience building player-facing content in game design roles (player-facing work in a technical scripting role will also meet this qualification.)
- At least 5 years of experience managing game designers.
- Experience in systems design such as core player-facing rulesets and large interconnecting frameworks.
There is no guarantee it is going to be Titanfall 3 as many players hope for. However, there was a rumor of a new game in this universe back in March, led by Steve Fukuda, the game director of the Titanfall franchise. After a Star Wars Mandalorian title about a bounty hunter got canceled soon after the world learned about it, I'd be cautious and keep my expectations to the minimum.
