Prodeus is a first-person shooter with a retro style brought to modern rendering techniques that was created by Bounding Box Software and released in 2022. It combines the quality of the AAA game and gameplay that invokes the technical limits of older hardware, also featuring a hand-crafted campaign created by industry FPS veterans.
Recently, the developers showcased a new weapon animation for a new loadout screen that will be part of the game's DLC, The Elder Veil. The animation features a highly detailed gun with complex mechanics and retro visual effects, following the Prodeus' old-school-inflected style. According to the description on Steam, the game offers "an arsenal of classically over-the-top weapons," as players need to get through masses of chaos-originated creatures.

Recently, Humble Games, the publisher of Prodeus, fired its entire 36-person workforce. The development team members shared their regret and said that it was unclear what would happen next.
