"There are lots of other stories to tell."
Three years after the first season’s release, Arcane’s second season has once again made players so excited. The reportedly $250 million investment by Riot has been seen as paying off well.
Sadly, no matter how much fans have been enjoying the episodes and would hope for more, the third season isn’t going to happen. However, there’s no need to be too upset yet, as more shows related to League of Legends could be expected.
When asked about the reason why there are only two seasons, Marc Merrill, one of Riot Games’ co-founders, was straightforward and wrote a promising answer: "cuz there are lots of other stories to tell."

This actually echoes the words of Christian Linke, one of the co-creators and showrunners, who said in an earlier statement regarding why Arcane comes to an end so shortly and what fans can expect in the future:
"From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of ‘Arcane’ wraps up with this second season. But ‘Arcane’ is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra."
