Rocksteady, the developer of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, reportedly laid off several employees at the end of last year.
As EuroGamer shared, six former studio workers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the layoffs. The employees who lost their jobs are from the company's programming, QA, and artist teams. The number of laid-off workers is not disclosed.
This is not the first round of layoffs conducted by Rocksteady in recent times. In September, it was reported that the studio's QA department lost over half its employees, decreasing from 33 to 15. The job cuts affected not only junior workers but also some staff members with more than five years of experience.
One of the alleged reasons is the underperformance of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In December, Rocksteady confirmed the end of live-service support for the game, stating that Season 4 will conclude with Episode 8 on January 14, 2025, which will be its final post-release update.
