Rumor: Back 4 Blood 2 Is in Development

Gobi 2 is coming.

Turtle Rock Studios' Back 4 Blood first-person shooter, while inspired by its famous Left 4 Dead, couldn't attract as much positive attention. It did have over 6 million players in the first two weeks after launch, but its Steam reviews are merely Mixed, and Metacritic users gave it a 5.1 out of 10 on PC.

Don't be quick to bury it, however, as it looks like we might be getting a sequel. As noticed by MP1st, actor and stuntman Jesse Hutch, who worked on motion capture for Back 4 Blood, listed "Gobi 2" in his resume, a project created by Turtle Rock Studios.

As the outlet pointed out, the first game was codenamed Gobi, which is also the name of the company's mascot. Moreover, there is an active "back4blood2.com" address, registered in May, which suggests Back 4 Blood 2 will really be back.

This is just a speculation, of course, so don't get it too close to heart. However, I must say this all looks quite convincing, so if you're a fan of the original, you might have some great news coming.
