Rumor: Ubisoft Is Hiring for Tactical Military Game
Is Project GONE a new Ghost Recon?
Ubisoft | Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint
New casting information posted on Reddit suggests Ubisoft is looking for actors to appear in its next game, Project GONE. It is a tactical military video game about "navigating the complexities of war," and based on this description, most fans seem to be thinking this is a new Ghost Recon title or perhaps one in the Rainbow Six series.
According to the casting call, the two lead roles are taken by Kya-Win and Ahn. Ahn is "worldly, determined, and compassionate with an edge. Educated at a prestige American university, she now works for a multinational NGO as a tireless advocate for those in need. Ahn can come off patronizing, but her words still carry empathy. Character arc finds her questioning her allies, conflicted on what’s truly right or wrong as she finds her reality shaken in ways that seem impossible to turn back from."
As for Kya-Win, he is a "former head of the National Secret Police and is now a rogue operator. He is decisive, committed, athletic and fit with a military past, a seasoned manipulator, spy, and risk-taker. Inspired by the coup revolution in his country, he is an enigma of a patriot who will destroy his own people, and with an oddly honest code of ethics, he inspires others to follow his ways."
The actors for both roles should be Thai or Thai-American, suggesting the game could be taking place in Thailand. There are also several other roles disclosed, you can find them all here.
As usual, this is a mere rumor at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt. What do you think Project GONE is? Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, or something entirely different?
