S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy - Enhanced Edition Launches Next Week

GSC Game World has kept its promise from last year and announced that the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition will be released on 20 May 2025.

The Enhanced Edition includes updated versions of the original trilogy: Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Prypiat. Compared with the original games, several key visual aspects have been improved, including "updated skyboxes, enhancements to GodRays and the overall lighting system, and refined surface reflections, including effects for wetness, improved 3D models for NPCs and guns. Furthermore, the textures have been upscaled and upgraded for greater detail." All the visual changes are aimed at creating "a more modern and immersive visual presentation."

The controls have also been changed to be more "modernized." A variety of quality-of-life features have been implemented to enhance the overall player experience and usability.

Owners of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy on Xbox Series X/S or PS5 will get the Enhanced Editions of the games for free. On PC, those who own the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games will also receive the Enhanced versions at no extra cost. 

For those new to the franchise, the Enhanced Edition can be purchased for $39.99 as a whole or each title individually for $19.99. Buying the Enhanced Edition on PC will give you six games, actually, including all three classic games.
