Game Developer Zolden showcased a new destructible simulation.
Game Developer Zolden, who continues his research into GPU-computed real-time simulations made of interacting particles, unveiled a stunning destructible simulation that would fit perfectly in a Wing Commander-style game.
According to Zolden, his plan is to first use it to develop a game, gradually adding features and refining. Once it's polished, he intends to either sell it on the Asset Store or license it to studios. The previous version of this simulation is available on the Unity Asset Store.
This ground simulation can be used either as a foundation for projects that involve simulating physically interacting particles or as an educational resource for learning compute shaders:
