Earlier today, developer Action Square and publisher HIKE have finally released ANVIL, a long-awaited multiplayer co-op top-down sci-fi roguelike action shooter, ending the game's lengthy 2-year Early Access period.
In ANVIL, the player is tasked to take on the role of a Vault Breaker and search for alien artifacts called "Vaults", fighting against hordes of dangerous monsters and powerful bosses in the process. Inside these Vaults lie valuable relics that enhance the Breaker's survival and combat capabilities. The game offers four exciting modes for players to enjoy: a new PvP Mode, Practice Mode, Galaxy Mode, and Season Challenge Mode.
The release version of the game, however, didn't change ANVIL's Mixed status, which it received during its Early Access period. At the moment, the game only has a 63% positive rating on Steam with nearly 1,800 total reviews.
