Marvel Rivals’ recently released Season 1 update brought Strategist Invisible Woman to the team-based shooter. This new playable hero’s cool ability of being invisible has become a unique tool for players to spot bots in matches.
Twitter user Marvel Rivals Intel has shared a clip showing what player barky1616 has found. The Invisible Woman hides herself at the bottom of a staircase, which is in the path that bots would take. The enemy heroes are unable to see her, and they act like being blocked by an invisible air wall, so they won’t move forward until her invisibility is off. This tactic not only confirms the presence of bots but also makes it easier for players to win.
Some players believe that NetEase Games is using AI bots to fill matches for two reasons. One is that after a player loses two quickplay matches in a row, the bots can help ensure an easier win in the third match so players won’t feel too frustrated to continue playing. The other possible reason is that the placement of bots could help reduce waiting time for the matches so they can start quicker.

The Season 1: Eternal Night Falls update has helped the acclaimed hero shooter break its own concurrent user peak on Steam, setting a new record of 644K players. Meanwhile, this free-to-play game also had a pretty shiny financial performance, estimated to have received over $130 million in the first month of release.
