If you watched the Houdini 21 Keynote at SIGGRAPH 2025, arguably the biggest Houdini update to date, you might remember this vibrant forest environment with a blue lake showcased in the Labs Biomes section. Arvid Schneider, known for his educational videos, has now released a detailed step-by-step tutorial breaking down his epic, procedurally generated landscape.

Starting with Houdini's powerful Labs Biome tools, he will guide you through creating diverse biomes influenced by real-world physics, including dynamic terrain shaping, smart asset placement based on factors like soil, altitude, and rainfall, and smooth integration with Unreal Engine pipelines.
