FromSoftware announced that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice had sold over 10 million copies worldwide. It took the action game four and a half years to reach the result, and the developer thanked its fans for their support.
"In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the 'one-armed wolf', a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself."
Shadows Die Twice was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in March 2019 and won Game of the Year at The Game Awards receiving a lot of positive attention from players.

Reaching 10 million copies is a huge milestone for any studio. Bethesda's Starfield, for example, achieved the feat in just three weeks after the early access launch, while It Takes Two managed to do it in two years. God of War Ragnarök saw the number in about three months, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fans bought 10 million games in just three days.
