Sequel to Investigation Game The Case of the Golden Idol Is Coming in November

The Rise of the Golden Idol has finally received a release date. A sequel to the incredible investigation game, The Case of the Golden Idol, will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and Switch on November 12.

The fact we haven't covered either of the titles is a crime in itself, and crime is exactly what you should expect from both.

The Rise of the Golden Idol follows its predecessor's footsteps fully, as far as I saw from the demo, asking you to demonstrate your Sherlock talents by carefully observing clues in a scene and piecing them together to find out what happened.

You gradually discover names, objects, and places and have to connect them to what really happened by dragging them to the right spots in the text.

The Case of the Golden Idol is my favorite game in the genre because it doesn't hold your hand, but it's not frustratingly impossible at the same time. What starts as a seemingly simple murder turns out to be a part of a whole world of intrigue – difficult but logical. I don't want to spoil it, so if you want to test your detective skills, definitely check out both the first and second installments.

The Rise of the Golden Idol brings a slightly different art style and a new secret, probably connected to the Idol.
