Shapelab 2025 Is Here

Add VR into your 3D modeling workflow to unlock a new level of creativity with customizable environments, kitbashing using custom shapes and primitives, snapping, constraints, and more.

With its 2025 release, the artist-friendly 3D sculpting app Shapelab introduces a range of new features aimed at boosting creativity, optimizing workflows, and delivering a highly customizable VR sculpting experience.

Choose the most comfortable and efficient working method for each stage of your project: run Shapelab on your PC in desktop mode or use a VR headset connected to your PC to experience VR mode. Access industry-standard sculpting tools and fully customize the shapes you spawn, add your own 3D models to the shape library, or import objects directly as kitbashing templates.

A new brush scaling option adjusts the cursor size based on the scene, maintaining consistent brush stroke sizes regardless of zoom level. Subdivide your mesh to add multiple levels of detail and switch between them effortlessly to streamline your workflow.

Achieve precision with snapping constraints for tools and objects, customize increments, and coordinate spaces to fit your specific needs. You can now also enable simultaneous scene and object grabbing, which automatically disables pinch-scaling gestures for objects. Use various environment settings to test and showcase your creations in different lighting and atmospheric conditions.

Many smaller improvements and fixes have already been implemented, with more expected in 2025. The developers are focused on introducing voxel-based tools for advanced 3D stamping and clay work, overhauling the gizmo system, refining sculpt brush behaviors, and adding features such as quick selection and quick object switching, along with more contextual buttons and tools to streamline your workflow.

Shapelab 2025 launched with a special offer: exclusive discounts and the chance to get a free license of Shapelab Lite, the standalone VR version of Shapelab, for the first 500 buyers. Don't miss out on this deal and learn more about Shapelab here.
