Sharkmob Ceases Development of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt
The game's servers will continue to operate, ensuring that the game remains accessible to players.
Sharkmob, the developer behind Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, has announced that it will cease the development of the game.
The studio made this decision a little more than a year after the full release of the battle royal, which took place on April 27, 2022.
The development team expressed gratitude to all those who played the game but acknowledged that Bloodhunt did not achieve the necessary critical mass to sustain further development. As a result, the studio has made the decision to halt the ongoing development of the game.
Sharkmob clarified that despite the decision to stop further development of Bloodhunt, the game's servers will still be operational, allowing players to continue playing. The studio expressed its commitment to keeping the servers active as long as there is an engaged player base and community.
In the forthcoming update for Bloodhunt, the studio will introduce a "voting system" to ensure the game remains up-to-date and in line with player preferences. This update is intended to be the last planned patch for the game. Subsequent updates will primarily concentrate on maintenance, rather than introducing new features, according to the studio.
