Shawn Ashmore Would Like to Take Part in Quantum Break 2

The desire to bring the game to life was also supported by Quantum Break creative director Sam Lake, however, it is up to Microsoft to decide whether to revive the IP.

Quantum Break star Shawn Ashmore shared that he would like to take part in a sequel to 2016's sci-fi action-adventure game.

The first one to launch the idea of creating the Quantum Break sequel was Windows Central's Jez Corden who tweeted about bringing the game back. His tweet went viral gaining almost two million views, after which actor Shawn Ashmore, who voiced and gave the appearance of the protagonist of the title, Jack Joyce, paid attention to it.

Ashmore contributed to the hype around the game by replying "I'm in" to Corden's tweet and tagging the official Xbox Twitter account. In addition, Ashmore's tweet was later reposted by Remedy founder and Quantum Break creative director Sam Lake.

It's worth noting that currently, there is no word of Quantum Break's revival – Remedy Entertainment is now busy working on Alan Wake 2 and several Control games and even Ashmore himself notes that bringing the game to life will not be not so simple, apparently hinting that the rights to the IP belong to Microsoft, and only the company can decide whether to return to work on the franchise.

Nonetheless, there appears to be a strong desire for a sequel to Quantum Break. The original game now has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam, indicating that a number of players still enjoy it, and many of them probably would be glad to see its continuation.
