Show Off What You Can Do with Unreal Engine in Epic MegaJam 2025

Win great prizes!

Epic Games

Epic MegaJam is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and it's a great reason to showcase your creativity in the contest.

You need to create a project in Unreal Engine or Unreal Editor for Fortnite based on this year's topic, alone or in a team with 4 more friends.

Your game must include custom gameplay that exceeds the gameplay found in Epic Games' starter templates, all art assets in the game must not have DefaultMaterial, and submissions must be packaged for Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.

The best creators will win awesome prizes from Wacom, Razer, Diversion, Logitech, and SideFX.

"We’re also pleased to announce that we have more special modifier categories than ever before! That takes us up to a whopping 31 prize categories including the nine primary ones. All the details of these can be found on the 2025 Epic MegaJam Itch.io event page."

The entries will be judged based on:

  • Unique Use of Contest Theme (Up to 5 points)
  • Fun Factor (Up to 5 points)
  • Visuals (Up to 5 points)
  • Level Design (Up to 5 points)
  • Audio (Up to 5 points)
  • Gameplay (Up to 5 points)

The winner will get Razer Immersive Creator Kit, gaming gear, licenses for popular software, and more.

The theme for this year's competition will be announced during Inside Unreal on Thursday, October 16th at 12 PM PT/3 PM ET. Then, you’ll have 7 days to craft "a fun, playable experience that brings the theme to life."
