LogInTech Artists and Houdini developers plan to share an entire day's worth of technical presentations, providing a sneak peek at Houdini's upcoming update.
Software development studio SideFX has issued a statement announcing Houdini 20 HIVE, an upcoming in-person event set to take place at the Curzon Soho cinema located in London, United Kingdom, and revealing its plans to provide a sneak peek at Houdini 20, a brand new version of the company's procedural 3D software.
During the event, multiple SideFX Developers and Technical Artists, including some well-known freelancers such as Tim Van Helsdingen and Simon Verstraete, will share an entire day's worth of technical presentations covering some of the new Houdini 20 features and upgraded tools, including Karma, Solaris, KineFX, and more. If you can't make it to London in time, no worries! All the presentations shared during the HIVE will be recorded, with SideFX planning to release them once Houdini 20 officially goes gold.
Houdini 20 HIVE was revealed to take place on October 26, 2023. However, a day before that, on October 25, SideFX will also hold a Houdini 20 Keynote, providing one more look at the upgraded app. This talk is at capacity but a few days after the event, SideFX will post a video recording for the whole community.
