Sketchfab now supports AR for all Sketchfab for Enterprise customers. With the new addition, Sketchfab lets you work with your models in 3D, VR, and AR. To switch to AR mode, you only have to press the AR button that will appear in any Sketchfab embed, no need to install a new app!
Adding AR to 3D Sketchfab models is quite easy. All added 3D files are converted into the USDZ and glTF file formats, which are required for AR to run on devices. The new feature is available on:
- iOS: iPhone 7 and newer or iPad 5 and newer, running iOS 12+
- Android: Devices with ARCore 1.9 support on Android 8+
If you open a model on a desktop and click the AR button, you will get a QR code to skan with your phone or tablet camera, and the model will show up automatically.
