Adobe's Senior Creative 3D Evangelist Gio Nakpil presented a new personal project, showing a variety of expressions on a wrinkly 3D face, seamlessly switching between the motions.
"I eventually want to texture this in Painter and really refine the shapes for render," Nakpil said. Considering his affiliation with Abode, I assume the sculpt was made in Substance 3D Modeler.
To go between expressions, the artist focuses on where detail goes in each pose, "adding stretch/compression to show motion, keeping detail where needed, and letting it fade when stretched. It helps create the illusion of fine detail during animation."
