Sniper: Ghost Warrior Studio Is Working on a New Live-Service Tactical Shooter

CI Games revealed its plans for the next five years which include releasing a new live-service tactical shooter and a survival game.

CI Games, the studio behind Sniper: Ghost Warrior and Lords of the Fallen, has revealed that it is working on a new live-service shooter codenamed "Project Scorpio".

In a newly updated five-year release roadmap for investors, CI shared that the new title is currently in development at its internal Underdog Studio which is also responsible for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior games.

CI refers to the game as a "premium, multiplayer PVE tactical-shooter IP" that is slated for the 2024/2025 release. According to the company, Project Scorpio will be supported long-term after launch through in-game purchase mechanics, events, and esports.

CI Games also announced that the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series would be continued by a new currently unnamed partner studio that will work alongside Underdog so that the latter studio could continue creating its live service game. CI hasn't shared much on the new entry in the franchise, only revealing that it is also planned to be released in 2024/2025.

Additionally, CI reiterated its plans to bring a new IP into the survival genre with a new game codenamed "Project Survive" that will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. The title is being developed by CI Games' internal studio HEXWORKS in collaboration with an external partner studio BatFields, the Czech developer known for the Dead Effect games. The game is set to be released in 2023/2024.

Finally, CI shared that The Lords of the Fallen, a reboot of the 2014 action RPG that was revealed in August, is scheduled for the 2023 release. The title is in development at HEXWORKS which is also currently working on an "ambitious" new action RPG codenamed "Project III" that is set to arrive in 2025/2026.
