The device costs $199.99.
Sony has announced the launch date for PlayStation Portal – its device for remote play compatible with PlayStation 5. The handheld will be available starting November 15.
Well, I say "compatible", but it's actually meant for the console and you can't play without it. It has an 8-inch LCD screen with a 1080p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. You'll find all the main features of the wireless DualSense controller, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
You can already pre-order PlayStation Portal if you live in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Canada and Japan will get a chance to do so on September 29. Additional regional availability will be announced at a later date.
"Since launching PS5, we’ve been amazed to see how players around the world have embraced the generational leaps we made in the gaming experience, such as the heightened feeling of immersion delivered by the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in the DualSense wireless controller. Our PlayStation community continues to give us a reason to challenge ourselves to bring new innovations to the market for all players to enjoy."
