The upgrade to the new version will cost $9.99.
Sony doubled the price of Guerilla's Horizon Zero Dawn a few days after it announced its remaster for PS5 and PC.
The price of the game's Complete Edition jumped from £15.99 to £34.99 in the UK and from $19.99 to $39.99 in the US on September 25, shortly after Sony announced the title's remaster for PS5 and PC at PlayStation's State of Play. The price hadn't seen dramatic changes for years.

The remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn was anticipated about a week before the official announcement, as its page was spotted on the ESRB Rating Board. On September 24, at the State of Play Broadcast, Sony announced that the remaster would include more than 10 hours of re-recorded conversation mocap and graphical improvements that bring the game to the same visual Fidelity as Horizon Forbidden West. According to Sony, the new version of Horizon Zero Dawn will arrive on October 31, and anyone who owns the original PS4 version of the game can upgrade to the new PS5 version for $9.99.
Lately, Sony has been criticized for making too many remasters, as some fans suppose. For instance, industry insider Jeff Grubb said that PlayStation was working on another remaster that "would be even less exciting."
