Sony Is Looking for Specialists to Lead the "Cloud Gaming Revolution"
It is unlikely to come soon though.
Cloud gaming is becoming an increasingly popular idea it seems: first, Microsoft announced its partnership with the mobile network operator company EE to explore cloud gaming, and now rumor has it Sony is actively working on its own service.
The company has multiple job listings pointing at this: according to The Verge, there used to be 22 positions related to cloud gaming tech, but now you can see nine on its website.
"As a member of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Future Technology Group (FTG), you’ll have the opportunity to lead the charge in the cloud gaming revolution. FTG is at the forefront of putting console-quality video games on any device," say some of the listings.
This "cloud gaming revolution" can't come soon as the company is still in the middle of hiring, but the concept is intriguing. Apparently, Sony believes that "cloud gaming is on its way to becoming a major part of the gaming industry", so it's interesting to see what it has in store, especially considering the patents it generously presents.

Sony's interest in cloud gaming is even more pronounced with the recent rumors of its new handheld. A week ago, journalist Jeff Grubb mentioned a cloud-streaming device, and then Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson said Sony is going to launch Q Lite, a PlayStation handheld.
"Insider Gaming understands that the Q Lite is not a cloud-streaming device, but instead uses Remote Play with the PlayStation 5 – A feature the console giant has been pushing these past couple of weeks."
Could the news be related? Possibly, you never know. Henderson thinks we will see Q Lite before the PlayStation 5 Pro and after the Detachable Disc Drive PS5, so stay tuned.
