Sony Plans to Bring More Games to PC

Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding have been recently released on PC, and according to the latest company’s corporate report, they think about launching more PC versions.

Sony’s full-year corporate report was shared a couple of days ago covering the PlayStation division and other Sony's activities. Among, other things the company reported a ¥68.2 billion loss ($876.3 million) in operating income from COVID-19.

On the bright side, the PlayStation unit now generates more sales and operating income than any other division of Sony. They also noted that they have about 113 million active PSN users and 45 million PS+ subscribers,  plus around 2.2 million PS Now subscriptions.

Still, the company needs a growth in “active users”. One of the strategies is to bring more Sony first-party titles to PC users.

"Targeted outcomes include growth in active users, stronger retention and a shorter cash conversion cycle, from which expanded cash flow can be expected," wrote the team. "We will explore expanding our 1st party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability."
