On August 30, 2023, the company announced that starting September 6, there would be a global increase across all benefit plans in the price for PlayStation Plus 12-month subscriptions. Sony explained the changes by saying, "This price adjustment will enable us to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service."

If you are currently subscribed to a 12-month plan, the price increase will only be applicable to your subscription upon your next renewal date, which falls on or after November 6. However, the company added that any modifications you make to your membership, such as upgrades, downgrades, or purchasing additional time, starting from September 6 onwards, will reflect the new prices in the updated plan.

Apart from the price increase news, Sony shared the list of games for September: Saints Row, Black Desert – Traveler Edition, and Generation Zero, which will be available from Tuesday, September 5, until Monday, October 2.
