Square Enix Is Officially Making A PC Version of Final Fantasy XVI

The studio revealed they're also developing 2 story DLCs. 

Producer and Game Designer Naoki Yoshida, in a special message to the fans of the Final Fantasy franchise during the PAX West 2023 event, shared their studio is making the PC version of the latest chapter in the series. The news was revealed during a discussion with the voice actors who worked on Final Fantasy XVI.

Yoshida confirmed that Square Enix is not only working on the game's port to PC but also on two paid story DLCs that will allow players to learn more about the world of Valisthea and spend more time with the characters. Details about the PC version and the expansions are promised to be shared by the end of 2023.

The team also shared a free update for Final Fantasy XVI will be released soon, introducing several new features, including the ability to change Clive's weapon appearance to any other weapon skin in the inventory while retaining its stats, and an additional weapon type. What is more, the update will introduce alternative appearances for multiple characters with the ability to switch between two skins at any moment, plus include several improvements, including additional controller layouts.
