The battery should last up to three hours – enough for a movie or a game.
LG first presented its StanbyME Go portable TV a couple of months ago, and now it is coming to the United States later this month.
StanbyME Go is a 27-inch LCD TV with a touchscreen, fit in a briefcase that can be used for transportation and as a stand. It has a built-in battery that lasts up to three hours, four 20-watt speakers, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos.
The screen can be "tilted, rotated, raised and lowered while in landscape and portrait orientations and table mode" and controlled by a remote, voice commands, or just your fingers. LG markets it as a great entertainment solution for picnics, camping, or any other activity.

StanbyME Go operates at 60Hz and can be connected wirelessly via Apple AirPlay, Bluetooth, and Screen Mirroring. Don't worry about the sun rendering the TV useless: LG promises Outdoor Brightness Control "to make sure your image looks good all day long."

StanbyME Go is available for pre-order for $999.99 and will be shipped starting August 28. If you purchase it now, you'll also get the LG XBOOM 360 Bluetooth speaker, which usually costs $249.99, for free.
