Star Trek's Q & the Voice of My Little Pony's Discord Joins Dota 2
Valve has introduced a new Dota 2 hero, voiced by the legendary actor John de Lancie.
As per the long-established tradition, during the recently-concluded The International 2023, Valve officially revealed a brand-new hero coming to Dota 2 in the near future. Meet Ringmaster, a flashy carnival-themed hero that promises to quite literally turn pubs into a circus and your opponents and teammates into the clowns that they are.

"Out past the lanes, at the edge of the forest, there is a narrow path. You could swear it wasn't there yesterday," reads the hero's official announcement. "You follow it into the smothering darkness... until there is a light. A small, glittering light dancing between the distant trees. You follow the light deeper into the forest. It's getting colder now. You can see your breath. A branch snaps behind you. You look. Nothing. Then... Next year, no hero is safe... from the Ringmaster."

Although there isn't any substantial information about the new hero's abilities or his release date, with Valve only saying that we should expect the hero to premier sometime in 2024, there's one important detail about Ringmaster that we already know – its VA.
According to the reveal trailer shared by the studio, the hero will be voiced by the legendary actor John de Lancie, known to millions for his role as Q in Star Trek, Donald Margolis in Breaking Bad, Discord in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and dozens of other roles.
Notably, this is not the first time de Lancie has worked on a Dota-related project. Previously, the actor also voiced Lord Ritterfau in Dota: Dragon's Blood, a 2021 animated TV series produced by Studio Mir in association with Ashley Edward Miller's company Kaiju Boulevard.
