We might see another game in the Jedi series.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game director Stig Asmussen has revealed that he wants to make Cal Kestis's story a trilogy.
Speaking on IGN Unfiltered, he shared that the talks about the sequel were happening even before Fallen Order was released, so it might not be surprising that the director imagined a franchise of a bigger scale.
"I always wanted to see this as a trilogy. How can we take Cal and the crew to new places beyond what we were doing in the first game?" Asmussen said. "We had a pretty decent idea of timeframe where we wanted Survivor to take place, what the stakes were going to be, what the tone o the game was going to be, what Cal was going to be up against, and how the crew was going to factor into that. And there's ideas of what we could do beyond that as well."
And if we do see the third game, it will most likely be built with Unreal Engine 5, even though it won't be easy. The team had to "warp" UE4 "into doing what it does for Jedi right now", and the latest engine would probably take more time and effort.
But it's still too early to talk about the third title as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is still yet to come on April 28.
