Star Wars: Squadrons Revealed

A new game for the fans of the Star Wars universe.

Lucasfilm and EA revealed Star Wars: Squadrons, a new space combat game will be released on October 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, also playable in VR. The game is being developed by Motive Studios and it is focused on first-person 5v5 multiplayer space dogfights. The original story is set during the final days of the Galactic Empire and the rise of the New Republic after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

"We created this game for every Star Wars fan who has ever dreamt about soaring across the galaxy in their favorite starfighter," noted Ian Frazier, creative director, Motive Studios. "Through the collaboration of the teams at Motive and Lucasfilm, we’ve been able to create a high-fidelity starfighter experience with an authentic storyline that invites Star Wars fans to explore never-before-seen corners of the galaxy in their own ship. We’re excited to show all this in action at EA Play Live this week."

The team also promises "deep craft customization, in-depth strategy, and gripping gameplay modes." They will visit EA PLAY Live on June 18 at 4:00 p.m. PT to reveal more details on Star Wars: Squadrons.
