Starfield finally got its first gameplay demo. During the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, the studio provided an extended look at the project which is expected to launch in the first half of 2023.

The demo showed several mechanics, including examining local creatures, mining for resources, invading a hostile base, dealing with a group of pirates, and more. The studio also shared a glimpse at space exploration and crafting mechanics. For example, players will be able to craft their own spaceships and build bases. Todd Howard states there will be 100 systems to explore with 1000 planets.

Starfield features a detailed character creator, allowing you to change appearances, classes, and skills. There's a lot more – make sure to watch the full video and discuss the demo in the comments below. Initially, the game had a November release, but then the studio delayed it to the first half of 2023 last month.
