SideFX announced that students can now rent Houdini Education for personal use. Before that, students could use free Houdini Apprentice at home, with Education only available for schools.
Houdini Education has a number of advantages over Apprentice, including watermarks, resolution limits, and other restrictions. You can compare different versions here.
Access to Houdini Education is available to all students, you just need to verify your academic status via Proxi.ID. Note that you can still use Houdini Apprentice for free.
