The team of Scans Factory fell in love with the place.
Some places you visit stay with you all your life, and if the Fontaine Saint-Michel in Paris is such a place for you, you don't have to physically return there to feel the nostalgia, thanks to Scans Factory, which recreated the fountain and the streets around in 3D, using photogrammetry and Unreal Engine.

"As soon as we stepped out of the Paris metro at Saint-Michel, we knew this would be a big deal. The amount of detail waiting to be scanned in this place was overwhelming. Take a walk through the winding, greenery-filled streets and discover the ornate façades of historic buildings. You can relax in one of the traditional cafés, enjoy a classic French baguette, or cross the river using one of the nearby bridges."
Several talented people have worked on over a thousand assets for 3 months to bring the scene to life: Michal Mierzejewski, Łukasz Brożek, Michał Gawron, Mateusz Modrzejewski, and Agata Kolman provided the assets and VFX support, Adam Jarosz worked on the lighting, and Adam Dyrszka created the SFX.
