Stylized 3D Facial Rig Made in Blender With Auto-Rig Pro

The character's eyelids are driven by the rig instead of shape keys.

Nashi, a talented 3D Animator who recently showcased a hilarious sequence imagining every animator's worst nightmare, continues to impress the audience with their masterful artworks, this time offering a look at an expressive facial rig set up for a stylized 3D character.

According to the creator, the rig was made in Blender using Auto-Rig Pro, Artell's renowned add-on for rigging characters and retargeting animations, which, as noted by Nashi, made setting up the system surprisingly easy. The most notable part of the setup is the character's eyelids, for they are also controlled via the rig instead of Shape Keys one would expect to find there.
