This update brings the new Primitives object type from beta to a stable release.

Back in May, Substance 3D Modeler introduced Primitives, a new type of object that enables a non-destructive workflow and allows you to use boolean and blending operations to create complex geometry.
A large selection of blend modes gives you full control over how objects interact with each other, and the workflow's non-destructive nature makes adjustments easy. Primitives can also be converted to clay and sculpted with all of the Modeler tools you're already comfortable with.
With the retail version of Substance 3D Modeler now featuring Primitives, you can access six new Combine modes: Inset, Extrude, Groove, Tongue, Repel, and Avoid. A new Blending type selector lets you choose between smooth or chamfered blending.

This update also introduces a new resolution increase algorithm called Shape Detection. It analyzes edges and shapes in your layer to enhance results when boosting resolution. You can right-click any resolution increase button to choose the algorithm you'd like to use.
