Surfacing Submarine Simulation Set Up in Houdini & Blender

Tech Artist 般常人 unveiled a new Houdini-powered project.

Have a look at this remarkable simulation of a twin-hulled nuclear submarine surfacing, created by Tech Artist 般常人. Driven by FLIP, the simulation exhibits an incredibly realistic appearance, featuring numerous whitewater particles that replicate the foam and splashes generated by a massive submersible. According to the creator, this project came to life through the combined use of Houdini, a procedural 3D software developed by SideFX, and Blender.

It's worth noting that this is not the first Houdini-based artwork produced by 般常人. Earlier, the artist also showcased a series of destruction sims achieved with SideFX's flagship software.
