Beeble has launched the newest version of its video‑to‑PBR and relighting model.
For those unaware, Beeble's AI-powered SwitchLight is built to create precise PBR maps, such as normal, base color, metallic, roughness, and specular, from any type of video footage. The latest model is now available for free through the company's web app, which allows users to both relight videos and export PBR texture maps for use in other software.
Compared to its predecessor, SwitchLight 2.0 offers significantly improved accuracy and now understands entire scenes, not just isolated objects. It has been trained on 13 times more data, covering a broader spectrum of objects and environments, and produces detailed outputs, even in complex and challenging scenarios.
As shown in the demo above, SwitchLight 2.0 accurately recovers surface details, even in strong sunlight, motion blur, and complex lighting, and captures everything from train rails and forest scenes to facial features and clothing. It also works across all types of footage, from real-world videos to 3D animations.

The technology can be accessed through the browser-based Beeble Studio. Just upload your green screen footage, and SwitchLight 2.0, running in the cloud, will automatically generate all the PBR passes. You can then experiment with real-time lighting and compositing to enhance your shots. For Blender and Unreal, there are dedicated add-ons and plug-ins available to ensure smoother integration.
