Here is some exciting news for the fans of System Shock: we've finally got to know the release date for the console versions of the System Shock remake.
Scheduled for May 21, the game will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, a year after its debut on PCs. Details regarding gameplay on Sony and Microsoft platforms have yet to be disclosed by Nightdive Studios, with further updates expected in due course.
Speaking of the future plans, the PC version of the remake is set to receive a big update featuring several enhancements. Key additions will include the ability to select the protagonist's gender, a reimagined final battle with SHODAN, upgraded animations, and a range of other improvements.
The remake was launched on May 30, 2023, and garnered lots of positive feedback from players. On Steam, it has over 72% positive comments, while on Metacritic, System Shock boasts 78 points from critics and 7.7. from users.
