Take a Look at the Reconstructed Multiplayer Maps for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
Areas from 2009 are coming back refreshed.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is getting ready for its release on November 10 – 12 years after the original version's launch. One of the things it brings back is the upgraded versions of all 16 maps from the 2009 Modern Warfare 2, and we can now take a look at them.

From a new video on the Call of Duty YouTube channel, you will learn that the developers were very excited to work on reconstructing the maps and want to present the best experience players can get.

“There are places where the metrics of the level are adjusted to fit more modern gameplay,” said Design Director Zach Hodson, “but for the most part, it’s going to feel incredibly similar. The biggest changes are in a fidelity sense.”

One interesting change is the cars: vehicles on the streets in various locations are different models compared to the 2009 versions. Moreover, Sledgehammer Games improved gameplay and enhanced scenic detail and visibility. You will also notice how the lighting has changed: it now illuminates previously dark areas to make it easier to spot enemies.
