Take a Look at This Puzzle Art Book Game with Vintage Vibes

All Living Things is an upcoming indie project following the story of an alchemist.

Check out All Living Things, an unusual indie game created by a freelance artist known on Twitter as saint vulture. The game is a puzzle art book that follows an alchemist's journey to discover the philosopher's stone.

The visuals resemble vintage book illustrations, with their muted color palette, painterly texture, and gradual color transitions. The game gives off slightly vintage and fairytale vibes, featuring unique creatures and items like a castle tower (which also seems to be a fire-breathing dragon cat) and scrolls. According to the artist, the game was heavily influenced by the Wunderkammer tradition and the works of Joseph Cornell, who made small interactive toy boxes.

All Living Things is in its early development stages and doesn't have a Steam page yet. The artist showcases some visuals of the in-game world and creatures along with the stages of the creative process on Twitter. For instance, the artist shared three images that inspired the project:

There are also some glimpses at the game's scenes:

The artist shares some technical details of creating the game's visuals.
