Take a break from your routine and delve into the soothing world of Meadowfell, an upcoming indie open-world exploration game by Protopop Games. It opens the endless world of wonderful nature with procedurally generated landscapes.
Valleys, hills, footpaths, trees, bushes, wildflowers, lakes, and more – "nature is at the heart of experience" in Meadowfell, as the developers say on Twitter. Soft lighting and little details like butterflies and sun glares immerse the players into the blissful, serene, fairytale setting even more. Various creatures, including little dragons and trolls, inhabit the world. As for the soundtrack, the game features gentle music with natural sounds that contribute to the peaceful atmosphere.
As a player, you can also create gardens, discover farmhouses, ride boats, and transform into one of the 16 species of animals and explore the world in their disguise while running, flying, or swimming.
Meadowfell is a part of another Protopop Games project, Wilderness. The developer stated that it is an expansion for Wilderness and later specified that Meadowfell is a separate game related to it, as they share some elements. However, features like environment, animals, and plants are different.
