Take-Two Interactive plans to shut down two studios as part of significant layoffs, according to a report by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, who referenced internal documents from the company.
The affected studios are Roll7, a London-based studio known for titles like OlliOlli World and the action game Rollerdrome, which was released in 2022, and Intercept Games, a Seattle-based studio known for Kerbal Space Program 2.
Take-Two has reportedly outlined its intentions to employees, adding that severance packages would be provided to affected employees. However, the official announcement regarding the closures of these divisions has yet to be made.
Both studios were previously operating under Take-Two's Private Division. Sources cited by Schreier indicate that other employees from this division have also been impacted by the recent workforce reductions.
Speaking of the layoffs and restructuring, Take-Two Interactive previously disclosed its plans to reduce its workforce by 5%.
