Team Ninja's Rise of the Ronin Has Been in Development for Seven Years

The studio president also denied the rumors about the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive reboots.

Team Ninja president Fumihiko Yasuda has shared that Rise of the Ronin has been in development for seven years.

In an interview with Famitsu (translated by Hansuke21), he revealed some detail about the upcoming ambitious open-world action RPG.

"The development for it is right next to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Updates and DLC production. We also planned to release the Rise of the Ronin in 2024."

He also said that the team wants to release a new game in 2025 and plans to launch a game every year, according to the translation.

Yasuda denied the rumors of the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive reboots, saying it was misinformation: "I only said that I cherish both of these series. I can't really say any specifics about them at this time, but when the time comes, I would like to be the first person to talk about it."
