Konami has announced a new sales milestone and disclosed some intriguing gameplay statistics.
Konami announced that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Collection's sales have exceeded 1 million copies, which is a remarkable achievement considering that it is a retro compilation of older games from the 8 and 16-bit era.
The remastered collection reached this milestone within eight months of its release in August 2022 when it was launched for various platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
The Cowabunga Collection is a compilation of 13 classic games from the Ninja Turtles franchise. This includes renowned titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the SNES, the Turtles in Time arcade game, and two versions of TMNT: Tournament Fighters.
Apart from sharing a new sales milestone, Konami has also shared some interesting gameplay statistics. According to the publisher, players took down a whopping 350 million foot soldiers and the turtles were shown to have consumed 6 million pizzas during their adventures. Meanwhile, Shredder's plans were thwarted 2 million times and the ninjas were able to save their friends a million times throughout the gameplay.
