Telltale & Deck Nine Show The Expanse Gameplay

Zero gravity, tough decisions, and headless corpses.

In a new gameplay video, Telltale's VP of Story Development Zak Garriss and Deck Nine's Game Director Stephan Frost shared a closer look at The Expanse – an upcoming action adventure based on the sci-fi series of the same name.

The 10-minute clip shows the game's zero gravity, tough decisions, friendly sparring, and a lot of headless bodies.

It's fascinating to see Camina Drummer exploring the ship attacked by pirates, especially considering many items she finds can be brought back and shown to the companions, which can shift her relationships with them.

But what's even cooler is the fact that your choices made throughout the game will matter at the very end, a feature done in true Telltale fashion. In the video, we see Camina facing a difficult decision: rescue her crewmate's leg or save the cargo. As you might expect, this will come up later.

"This [decision] will carry through the entirety of the game," commented Frost. "This will affect the ending. So these choices are very important. And they not only affect this character, but it affects the plot, the story going forward.

The Expanse is expected to be released this summer. To see its beautiful sights and environments, watch the video here.
